Rogues' Yarn

What we're about.

Rogues' Yarn was founded in 1996 by John Rackham and Ben Shockley as a theatre company that they could get together whenever they had the money to put something on.  Their first production was a two-man adaptation of Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness at the Birds Nest Theatre in Deptford, London.

In 2001, Rogues' Yarn produced its first short film Come Back on a one-chip digi 8 camera, and performed a three-man Heart of Darkness at the San Francisco Fringe Theatre Festival.  Since then the company has been to the SF Fringe 3 more times and produced three shorts and a feature Bloodmyth.

All Rogues' Yarn's work is written by John Rackham and other company members.

There is a vast resource of highly skilled, undiscovered acting talent out there and Rogues' Yarn believes in working with those actors.
