Death Blow

The Show

In 2002, Rogues’ Yarn’s comedy wing, Ben Shockley and John Rackham, took you into a childlike, comic-strip world where heroes are always tougher than villains and violence is always the answer in this satirical sketch show.

Despite a hasty rewrite when a US cast member dropped out 2 weeks before the show. Death Blow received good reviews from Fringe audiences.

John Rackham and Ben Shockley have honed their unique style of comedy over many years of performance together.

In Death Blow, they satirize stereotyping in the media.

Meet Mad Dog Duggan, nun-kicking, ramboesque CIA agent and his best friend the M73 Mayhem assault rifle.

See the Hooded Shadow, ninja warrior and ace inventor, his evil half brother the Black Shadow and the Pink Shadow…erm…his pink…er.. shadow.

Battle an ancient evil in  1923 with intrepid archaeologists Fairfax and Carstairs of the British Museum in the Curse of the Mummy’s Nose.

Sing along with jovial cowboy the Lonesome Stranger as he guts another ‘pesky redskin’ his with bowie knife.

And Elvis…as you’ve never wanted to see him.
